[Background]
Right here!

[Personality]

" Dammit! You're all such a pain in the ass! I'll kill you, just like I did those other ones! "

When Adachi is first introduced, he is the cheery apprentice to the seasoned Detective Dojima. Apparently, Adachi's been transferred out here because of a small 'mishap', rather a mistake, in the city, so now he's in the boondocks with everyone else, and now a novice, rookie cop. He's essentially the right-hand man of Dojima, and does a lot of the grunt work. However, he seems to have an awful lot of free time, considering he's usually at Junes every other day, willing to impart some comedic relief and information to the main character. Speaking of talking to the main character…Adachi is painted as a clumsy man with loose lips. Rather, he blurts out important, case sensitive information about the recent murders. Information that only the cops are supposed to know, and that he 'scolds' himself for telling you. He's even clumsier with drunk, unable to support himself, stumbling a lot, and saying things that don't particularly make too much sense. In general, for most of the time you begin to know Adachi, he's the charismatic, slightly awkward, sidekick to your awesome Uncle, that unfortunately has a weak stomach and keeps messing up and can not catch a break.

But did you really think he'd be a pointless side character just to poke fun at and lighten the dark mood of murders? Of course not.

In fact, Adachi's quite the intelligent, manipulative detective. He mentions once that he only joined the force so he could legally carry around a gun. His 'mistake' out in the city is never revealed, but it's hinted heavily that it was large enough to get deported out to the boondocks. But that doesn't make him intelligent…that just makes him dangerous and reckless. What makes him intelligent is the beautiful plan he orchestrates, or rather, falls into.

Adachi is the 'mastermind', so to speak, behind the murders. It all began when a certain woman didn't fall into his arms, turned out to be just another bitch and whore, and he decided to take things into his own hands. Of course, that meant hoping to pin her against a wall and do who knows what, but it resulted in sending her into the television. At first, Adachi was stunned. But the fact that he so easily began laughing, indulged in this idea of another world, a place of danger and Shadows, is the revealing part. Any normal person would stay away from such a terrifying place, but instead, Adachi embraces it. He uses the TV world to his advantage, thrusting another innocent young girl he who he deems unworthy and a petty whore, during questioning, into the god damn tv because he can't have her spilling the beans, can he?

Adachi utilizes this Other World to his advantage, and creates a game of cat and mouse with the Investigation Team and Namatame. The person appears on his radar, Namatame shoves them in the TV to save them, and then its a race for the Investigation Team to save them before the Shadows claim that poor soul. It's a hilarious riot, really!

Unlike the Investigation Team who use this TV world to help people and save their friends, Adachi embraces it, thinking that perhaps the whole world would be better if everyone just turned into Shadows and gave in to their dark sides. Wouldn't that be best for everyone, he thinks. Clearly, Adachi has a dark side to him that's always flittering between 'good' and 'bad'. He's a very volatile man that can easily snap, given the right circumstances. His hot buttons include women who don't give in to him, and or lead him on, and people that just get on his bad side.

He's really just doing all of this for fun, because what the hell else is there to do in a town like this?!

Despite this rather cruel and dangerous aura, Adachi is hinted to have a norma, caring side. After all, he takes rather fondly to the Dojimas, especially Nanako. It is as if he is almost thankful that Dojima has taken him under his wing and hasn't given up on him, despite his many screw-ups. Still, though, it doesn't right all the wrongs Adachi pulls. He is disgusted by society, and his Shadow and his own brooding supports this.

" The world is about to change! Your existence won't belong there! I thought I could just leave you be, but you're like a plague...I'll have to get rid of all of you! "

[Abilities]
Sorry, but Adachi's null to Light and Darkness. However, that just means everything else is fair game.

He is in use of spells such as Vorpal Blade and Evil Smile, oftentimes followed up with Gastly Wail. These types of spells can really do a beating to you, inflicting you with various status effects! (of course, that's no problem if you know amrita)

Apart from that, he's got a good grasp on the Ma- spells most Persona characters have.

do you want a writeup of them, or just having him not really using them in Som given his canon-point will be sufficient?

[Other important stuff]
§ Adachi is an Aquarius, which going off the idea that Atlus gives its characters birth dates based off Zodiac signs, would give support to the idea that Adachi is a very aloof, quirky man. He never really fits in with any group, and always seems to stand out, even when he's trying to fit in and go unnoticed. That and he enjoys his freedom.
§ He's Blood Type A. Just so you ladies know.
§ His birthday is February 1, 1984… ladies.

[Sample post]
[First Person]

What…?! O-of course I didn't steal that! I've never been in this store before!

Listen, you've got it all wrong! I'm a cop, a defender of justice, why would I steal a cabbage from a grocery store?

[ Adachi is currently making wild, flustered hand gestures as he backs away from a rather pissed off old woman NPC, who is wagging a broom at him. She has on the counter a rather beaten up cabbage that was found conveniently outside near where Adachi was sitting on a bench. Pshhh. Who do this old woman think she is? Of course he loves cabbage, god it's so good, but why would he risk this new cover, this new world, by stealing one?! Stupid bitch… ]

If you'll calm…calm down, I'm sure we can talk this over, Miss. [ Nope, the broom is being shoved up and under his nose. OW. He makes a face, disgruntled, reaching up to rub at his nose. ] Can I just pay you the difference and call it a day?

[ Before he loses his cool because good grief this god damn woman!! ]

Thanks a bunch. [ NOT. He's all but literally tossing the 'money' down on the counter as he leaves, rubbing his nose. Just. Ow. ARGH. ]

[Third Person]

This place was worse than that suffocating, disgusting town he had been deported to because of grievances back in the city. This place was boring, uneventful, and the people were just plain strange. It was giving him a headache, this mass amount of annoyance, and the lack of anything to do. True, he still had his gun, and true, there were quite a few beautiful woman here, but he knew how that had played out last time. Stupid, gold-digging bitches.

But that was another avenue for another time. Dojima's daughter was here, wasn't she? Despite the fact he had lukewarm feelings about his partner, who seemed to cottle him and treat him like an idiot most of the time, there was a sense of duty. Dojima wasn't the worst guy, and he actually trusted Adachi, to a point. There was an air of respect, and maybe he'd keep an eye on Nanako. Besides…she reminded him of what he liked about people, in a way. Deep down, beneath all that disgust and distaste and boredom with society, he liked people, to a small, small degree.

But it was awfully annoying not knowing what the outcome, the aftermath, of his little Game was back home. Had Namatame really been found the main culprit? Was the Game over? Did the little Investigation Team sense something else was amiss?

Adachi absently poked at his meal, eying it curiously. Since when did putting strawberries and pork together seem like a good idea? A sigh, and he pushed it aside. Maybe he'd snag some cabbage later, or some alcohol, just to clear his mind. But psh. Drinking and him were always bad combinations.

"Will that be all?"

The waitress had come back and was smiling at him vibrantly, hand on her hip. Adachi glanced up, fishing in his wallet with a cheesy, forced smile back. God, her makeup…she was such-- "Absolutely…! Thanks! You can keep the rest." He fumbled a bit with his words as he handed her the money for his meal, which was disgusting by the way, but still.

Had to keep society satisfied with pretenses, right? Gah.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] I love characters that appear one way on the outside, but are completely different and motivated for dark reasons, inwardly. The dynamic between the dialogue and prose is fascinating to write.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] STAY IN CHARACTER, because it's the point of RP and I always say no Player Cest, so….
